Kitchen Tips – Making A Vinaigrette Dressing

Knowing how to make your own salad dressing is a key skill for be able to make fast and easy healthy meals at home. A vinaigrette is a basic recipe that can be used not only for salads, but as a marinade for vegetables, a sauce for pasta and other recipes. Here is the basic recipe.

The base of your vinaigrette is three or four parts of oil to one part of vinegar.

From there you can add your other flavorings and seasonings as follows.

3 tablespoons olive oil
1 tablespoon apple cider vinegar
1 tablespoon number show you
1 tablespoon nearing
1/2 tablespoon Italian seasoning
1 teaspoon pepper ground pepper

Place ingredients in a jar with a lid shake well and dress your salad.

You can replace the vinegar with lemon juice lime juice for citrus

Now that you know the basic recipe you can get creative. Use citrus juice instead of vinegar, switch out the type of oil, try seasoning combinations to match your meal theme.
